Okay.

I am actually sharing this. I’m actually gonna share this. Damn. I’m crazy. Yeah, totally crazy.

I think after this post, I might hide in my own cave, I’m to embarrass to post more anime-related stuff. Lol.

Just kidding. I will never do that. I think.

yuruyurigif

The list below composed of animes that are ‘top-tier’ guilty pleasures of mine. I feel ashame for liking them, like for real. I know, from the bottom of my heart, how bad these animes are, but still, they also hold a place in my heart. Oh man, I’m so bad. For sure, some of you guys will try and watch them out of curiosity, then you guys will question my credibility & especially, my ‘taste’ in anime. I hope that day won’t come. XD

Let’s think positive, shall we!

Ah, before I share them, let me remind you that most of my content below touches the ecchi genre alot. So if you are not older than 16 years old….***PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS RECOMMENDED***

Okay, everyone. Here it goes.

KANON (2002 & 2006)

Let us start the list with the only not so bad anime, Kanon. If you guys would research more about this anime, Kanon has 2 version, both 2002 & 2006. Well, cuz Kyoto Animation was the studio for the 2006 version, the latter was more known to people.

As a young child, Aizawa Yuuichi had often visited his cousin in the city; however, something drastic happened to keep him away for seven long years. Now, Yuuichi returns, his memories of those days are simply gone.

Settling into the wintry town, Yuuichi comes across several young girls, all of whom are connected to his past. As he befriends them and continues to interact with them, the long forgotten memories from his childhood begin to resurface…

When I was still in middle school, Crunchyroll was still a ‘baby’, it offered quite a vast list of animes. If I remember it right, it was around 2007, both versions of Kanon were available in the site. I thought that it would be only right to start with the older version, so I watched Kanon 2002 version first.

kanon2002familypic

kanon2006cover.jpgI didn’t know it was originally a visual novel, heck I didn’t even understand what visual novel was. I really really liked it. I cried, I laughed, I was also touched by the romance. To be honest, this series was the first ‘harem anime’ I had watched and I really really love it. Then the 2006 version, I was a mess. Everything was multiplied. My feels went overboard. The 2006 version had better quality than the older one, and it was much longer. The impact was really really….wow. I loved both shows to death. Even until now, I still experience a rollercoaster ride of emotions when watching the 2 animes.

Why is this here in my list? Well, this anime is bad. Its hard to understand. Even though Air is the worst Key anime, Kanon is the second one. The story was all over the place. There’s so much flaws and unanswered questions. The animation, is outdated. Oh boy, I could pinpoint all the wrong stuff of this series, but still, I love this from the bottom of my heart. <3

PS: If someone would ask me what Key anime is the best, I would always answer Kanon. Fight me.

GHOST HUNT

Ha.ha.ha.ha.

Yes, I love this anime. Why? Don’t ask me. I also don’t know why. XD

ghosthuntanime

Compared to Kanon, I have no significant connection to this piece of ‘art’. Still, I treasure this anime up to this day.

While at school, Taniyama Mai and her friends like to exchange ghost stories. Apparently, there is an abandoned school building on their campus that is the center of many ghost stories. During the story, they are interrupted by a mysterious male figure. The person turns out to be Shibuya Kazuya, a 17-year-old who is president of the Shibuya Psychic Research Company. He was called by the principal to investigate the stories surrounding the abandoned school building.

The next day, on the way to school, Mai passes the school building in question. While examining a strange camera she spotted inside, she gets surprised by Kazuya’s assistant. Unknowingly interfering with the investigation, Mai breaks the camera and Kazuya’s assistant gets injured.

Kazuya forcefully hires Mai in order to pay for the camera and replace his injured assistant. From that point on, Mai begins to learn about the paranormal world and the profession of ghost hunting.

Ghost Hunt was a generic, bland, dull, horror supernatural anime. Yes, you read that right. Its a ‘horror supernatural’ anime. Even the famous anituber, Glass Reflection, pointed out how bad this series was and you shouldn’t watch this on Halloween. (LINK to his video)

I still dunno why I enjoyed the heck of this show. I’m still wondering why. I mean, this anime is too generic. The characters are really bland, but their interactions with each other was watchable and enjoyable. The story is kinda interesting, but it was executed badly. The supernatural events were funny and not scary at all. It’s so bad. All I know I love it, and I am embarrassed that I really really liked this one.

PS: I ship Kazuya and Mai…like…really hard. Uugggghhhh.. Its one of my frustrations that this series couldn’t even develop their relationship properly.

SOUL LINK

Oh, Dear Lord! Why am I sharing this?!?!?! Soul Link. I tried to hide this from the public. But now, I’m actually exposing this bad anime, and the fact that this is one of my guilty pleasure animes. Oh my, I’m so ashamed of myself.

Aizawa Ryota was in the 3rd grade of the preparatory course of Central Military Academy. AD 2045, he went to a space station, Aries, for the training with his classmates including Nagase Saka and Nittak Kazuhiko. However, the station was attacked by a terrorist group, Hallarax. Now they must find a way back to earth.

Please. To everyone reading this, don’t look up this anime, its not worth your time. I promise you.

Soul Link, how to describe this? Uuuhhh, it was mindblowing how bad this anime was. I was in highschool when I watched this for the first time. I could still remember watching it in my family’s internet cafe (My family used to own one). If you looked at the genres of this anime, its quite clear that this is not ecchi (duh, thats why I watched it). BUT! Out of nowhere, one of the lead female characters was naked….. I was so shocked I accidentally kicked the CPU of the PC I was using. It was so sudden. They even went deeper with the ecchi stuff. And the story, oh my, even until now I still don’t understand some aspects of it. Its still a mystery to me. I still don’t understand why the ****** happen, or why ******* did the things they did. Everytime I watch this show, I just don’t bother to understand it and just enjoy the trainwreck ride.

soulinkanime

Sigh. As always. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! I don’t regret watching this one. I love every bad thing about this anime. It made this series unique and also, unwatchable to other people. For sure if this anime was released in this era, I bet no one would be able to finish this. XD

CROSS ANGE: TENSHI TO RYUU NO RONDO

Sigh. The more I talk about my guilty pleasure animes, the more I becoming ashamed of my ‘taste’ in anime.

crossangeanimecover.jpg

Cross Ange. Cross Ange. Cross Ange. This one. Damn, I I’m actually sharing you guys this anime. I freakin’ love this show. Surprisingly, I love this more than the other 3 animes mentioned above (yeah, I know…more than Kanon…surprise surprise). Ha.ha.ha.ha. I’m insane.

The royal life of Princess Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi was as idyllic as the life of a sixteen-year-old princess could be. Beautiful, talented, athletic, loved by her people, and soon to be baptized in honor of her ascension to the throne of the Misurugi Empire, Angelise had everything. Even her kingdom was in a blissful age of peace and prosperity thanks to the utilization of an extremely advanced technology materialization force known as “mana.”

However, everything Angelise has come to know soon crashes to the ground around her after she is revealed to be a “norma,” a member of society resistant to the effects of mana and unable to use it herself. Just like the rest of the norma, Angelise is arrested and removed from society. Now she’s being forced to work as a soldier based out of the prison camp, Arzenal, and fly a transforming robotic vehicle called a “Paramail.”

To survive, Angelise will have to adapt to several different aspects of her new life in Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo, coping with prison society, relationships with other “norma” women, and piloting her Paramail against giant beasts known as DRAGONs. Will revenge be a great enough motive to encourage her to overcome these challenges? Or will the hate for those that betrayed her tear her apart in the process?

Don’t even try to ask me why I love this show. I just do. I can’t explain it. When I first saw this last 2014, I really thought I found a hidden gem amidst the ‘amazing top tier animes’ during that season. I followed this series. I watched this weekly, more than the Seven deadly sins, parasyte, yona of the dawn, fate series & etc. Do you understand?!?! I’m a hard core fan of this show. But this anime was really bad. So bad that its so good…..but only in my eyes.

crossangeendinganime

The story is a mess. It shifts from one story to another, you get confused if your still watching the same show or not. Though it does gets better later on in the series. It also tried to go ‘full circle’ in the end, which was interesting to watch. At least they tried. The characters were, how to describe this, uuuhhhhh both likable & dislikable. Like, on some episodes you might like them, other times, you f*ckingly hate them. Yep. That much. They also tried to incorporate quite alot of genres. From Mecha to Action, to Sci-fi, to supernatural!?!?, they even added some yuri, drama, comedy, & romance elements to it. Ah! I almost forgot, ECCHI. Yes, Cross Ange wouldn’t be Cross Ange without ECCHI. Ha.ha.ha.ha. Can’t you see why I love this show?!?!? It has everything!! *Facepalm*

SEIKON NO QWASER

Oh my…this is the worst of all the worst guilty pleasure animes of mine. I enjoy watching Seikon no qwaser. Yeah. That anime that was full blown ecchi, borderline hentai anime. Totally not for kids.

At St. Mihailov Academy, a series of serial murders have taken place with all the victims being young women. Who is this rampant culprit? And which beautiful maiden will fall prey to his evil next?

After a horrible day of being harassed by their classmates, the adopted sisters Mafuyu Oribe and Tomo Yamanobe stumble across an injured young man and decide to bring him back to their place to recover. That very night, Mafuyu ends up at the mercy of the infamous serial killer. Strangely, he demands not her life, but instead an icon left behind by Tomo’s father.

Luckily, Sasha, the mysterious young man that the sisters had taken in, comes to the rescue just in time, helping Mafuyu avoid the same fate as the other victims. Sasha reveals that he is a Qwaser, an individual capable of controlling scientific elements by partaking in Soma, a miraculous essence found within the breasts of women. Capable of manipulating iron, Sasha crafts a giant scythe and slays the serial killer. He enrolls in the academy the next day signalling the beginning of a very “interesting” school year.

Seikon no Qwaser is an action-heavy story that doesn’t shy away from fan-service. Join Sasha and his allies as they fend off the evil that is nearing in.

Seikon no Qwaser anime is both action packed and filled with borderline hentai moments, its kinda hard to take this series seriously. I do admit, the fighting scenes were really good. I like how unique the powers of each Qwaser present in the anime. Just the ecchi & borderline hentai scenes that made this show both really good & really bad. When you watch this anime, you can see how serious and dire the scenarios the characters were involve in. You get engaged and sympathized to them….then the boob grabbing. Us, the viewers, can’t take everything seriously cuz of the sucking & squeezing of the boobs. Its not like I have any problems with it, I mean, this anime is my top & worst guilty pleasure anime after all.

qwaserecchioverload2

And bruh, I’m only showing you gifs that are ‘mildly’ ecchi. We only scratched the surface level of how ecchi this anime goes.

After seeing this anime, I can’t helped but feel embarrassed, for the fact that I enjoyed watching this. I can’t even recommend this to anyone. I can’t even admit to anyone that I watched this. It’s tooooooo embarrassing, and yet, here we are, me…sharing this ‘masterpiece’…to you guys. Oh my.

Sigh. At last. I finished it!!!!

Now….

delete.gif

Forget everything I just shared to you above. I am definitely regretting the idea of sharing all of this to you guys. This is so embarrassing!!!

  1. i like Kanon. The quality of anime in the early 2000s was weird in general, and kanon stood out, imo. I also like Ghost Hunt. I might not be scary, but it’s a smart show. It has its plot holes, but it’s still solid in my book.
I have a high tolerance for bad anime though. xD

    1. Hahaahhaha XD
You are the second person who told me they like Ghost Hunt, i’m happy XD.
Indeed the quality of the 2002 was bad, but I do admit there were some scenes on the older version that was really heartwretching to wat h compared to the 2006 version. Oooohohoohoh

      1. ghost hunt is a good show. wait, it’s been years since i’ve seen it though, is it really bad? not for me.
and hell yeah, adapting VN was tough back then but it’s honestly better than today

        1. ghost hunt is like SAO. You like it and enjoyed it the first time you watched. But on the next watch, few years later….uuuuhhhhhh…so many flaws…. XD. But I still love it XD hahahaahah
