Reading Time: 3 minutes

I just finished binge-watching all the remaining episodes since the last time I watched the show (2-3 years ago…got busy with school and life), and damn, I miss this show.

Episodes: 105
Seasons: 7
Network: TNT
Genre: Police procedural, crime drama, mystery
Starring: Angie Harmon, Sasha Alexander, Jordan Bridges

Synopsis: Rizzoli & Isles follows Boston detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles, complete opposites and good friends who solve crimes and bust some of Boston’s most notorious criminals.

My Thoughts:

If you read the synopsis of the story, you might think that its the same old typical crime police drama that we see on television. I admit, it is the same old typical type, but its also different. The story stars 2 badass women as main characters, bruh, we don’t see much of that in the world of police drama (though I do know some other tv shows that have badass women as main characters too, but that topic is for another time). Not only that, both are not in the same field, one is a detective, the other is a medical examiner, it made the series more colourful.

What made the series unique and loved by many was because of the characters and their interactions. You can clearly see that all of them get along really well behind the scenes. The chemistry between characters are so phenomenal to a point that they seemed too real. Kudos to all the casts, they did a wonderful job in portraying and bring the characters alive.

I also love the script of the series. In the first season, the series gives off that typical police drama vibes, but after that, through the amazing writing, the series bloom into a wonderful and amazing tv series. Each line spoken by the characters felt really natural and not awkward. Its also consistent with the personality and growth of the characters. I love it.

Seeing the ending made me really sad. I even cried for god’s sake. I can’t see any more awesome stuff from this series. I won’t be able to see more of their cute interactions, especially Rizzoli and Isles’ bond. I pretty much understand why peepz think the two would end up together in the end. Lol. There chemistry together is so damn good. Even the thought that the characters might be lesbians even crossed my mind, their bond all through out the series is undeniably beautiful to watch.

Overall, this series is awesome. I considered this as one of my top favorite tv series of all time. I just loved this show. It sucks that it ended, and it might take awhile before i could find another series that could par or even reach the level of Rizzoli & Isles. With the surge of the superhero tv series, I dunno what to watch anymore.

That is all.

Thanks for reading.

  1. ihave never heard of this? where did you watch it?
but it’s nice to see that law and Order girl get another syndicated TV show role. I always smile when I see former Law and Order actors do well in other shows, like that black cop in The Flash. lol

  2. I just finished watching Rizzoli & Isles in December. Binged over a few months. I thought it started a bit weak, but after a few seasons it found its stride. Was fun to watch and will miss it too. Reminded me of Castle.

  3. Wowww seeing this has made me so teary!! Couple years ago I was the biggest Rizzoli and Isles fan but since Barry Forst 😦 I couldnt get myself to carry on and now you are making me catch up! Why you making me all teary!! I havent watched anything since season 5!!

It was also hard for me to watch the series, but for me, it would be waste if i couldnt continue watching it. And i was kinda curious how the series would move on from the tragedy.
