If you are following my entries here on my blog, you might notice that I like to watch tv series that involves crimes. Yeah, this genre is one of my favorites. I grew up watching the shows my father use to watch: CSI, Law & Order, etc.
When I stumbled unto this series, I immediately watch it. Its been awhile since I had watched a Matsumoto Jun jdorama. Bruh, Eikura Nana is also part of the cast, damn, my anticipation for this series went through the roof. Lol.

My Thoughts:
This is good. Like, REALLY GOOD. No wonder the high ratings.

When I first started watching this, I got hooked immediately. It was really intriguing and interesting at the same time. The story flowed really well until the last episode. No problems with the pacing and you got the gist immediately of the situation in Japan through their intro in every episode. Japan is known to have low crimes and high conviction rate. If you are caught, whether you are innocent or not, you are going to jail. I think one of the reasons why Japan keeps on making this types of series was because they want to show to people that finding and convicting the right culprit is very important. Anyway, I’m getting a little bit away from the topic. Lol.

Back to the series.

I really really like the dynamic between the characters. With the main character, Miyama, being carefree and weird, the upright characters, Sada & Tachibana, tends to look really awkward and lost as to how to handle him. Because of their interactions, all the important characters got alot of character development. Its really fun to watch.

I also like the comedic scenes in the series. They were not exaggerated, but it fits well with the narrative and carefree nature of the main character. Ah! I think the best thing I like about this series are the cases. Most of them were really unpredictable. Though sometimes they do show who the suspect is, its the how and why they did it remains a mystery. It keeps you on the edge and it makes you think too how they did it and why they did it. Its really fun.

Overall, this series is a must watch. Everything was done right in this series. I think the only flaw to this would be the lackluster ending, but bruh, the 2nd season is currently airing in Japan, so…..I don’t care about the ending of this season. Lol.

I totally recommend this to everyone. You will definitely enjoy watching this. Binge-watch it if you have to.

That is all.

Thanks for reading.

  1. I would watch this just for Jun, but you say it’s a good one then I’m definitely adding this to my to be watched. ^^ Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!

        1. hahahahahha…Matsumoto Jun is quite handsome and charming. I grew up watching most of his tv shows and he’s one of the first japanese actors I actually adore. Hehehehehhe

              1. Agreed. Though the korean one was the first I saw (and there I loved yijeong and the actress for monkey girl), the japanese one was truly memorable.
