I had always been a fan of Takei Emi’s work ever since I saw her in her movie, Clover. I wanted to watch all of her tv series. Age Harassment is the latest one I just finished. Its very interesting. The premise of the story is very interesting & very intriguing. I never expected and thought about this type of harassment. Its quite known to people about the sexual harassment while the age harassment tends to get overlooked alot. Any type of harassment needs to be discussed and should not be practiced. So seeing a series tackling this topic and making sure to make the viewers know what is right and what is wrong is really empowering.
The story was about the newly adulting fellow, Emiri Yoshii, who got accepted into a big company and gets to experience age harassment in different forms. I love how this series tackles every aspect of age harassment, from authorities favoring the young ones over the old and experience workers, to the abusing of power of the old workers to the newbies. Letting us see the problems and how it was resolved, we, the viewers, get/learn some key points as to why we shouldn’t back down from age harassment.
I think my only very very tiny problem about the series was the part whenever the main character confronts the harassers. It sometimes comes off as disrespectful..?? Maybe it was just the words or the translation of what the main character say. The way she talks to the harassers, especially the authorities, irks me cuz of her tone of her voice. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it whenever she gives them a lecture of what is right & wrong, its just that I get this uncomfortable tiny tiny feeling sometimes. Anyway, other than that, I’m pretty much okay with everything.
Overall, this series is really good. You won’t regret watching this series.
That is all.
Thanks for reading!
