Yo! Sirius here!
It’s time to release my thoughts about the 4th episode of Kemono Jihen.
Yeah, Sorry for the delay. I had some issues with my internet since last week, which resulted in me not being able to watch any anime at all. Anyway, I am getting back into it again.
This was an interesting episode.
Compared to the previous one, this was less focused on Kabane but was focused more on Akira, or the 2nd half of it.
Let’s from the beginning.
Just as hinted at in the previous episode, we got to know more about that visitor. It turned out that he was in love with a nekomata, a cat that could turn into a human and seduces people. The guy was hopelessly in love with the neko woman, which in turn, interests the gang, specifically Kabane, in learning more about what love is. It’s interesting to see how much Inugami-san trusts the gang as he just lets them solve the case on their own. I do kinda wish to know more about his thoughts and way of thinking.
The gang was in the red district, waiting for that nekomata. They were able to corner the nekomata and talk to her about the guy who’s hopelessly in love with her. It was shocking to see him beg for him to become a cat because he thinks he’s a worthless human anyway. His dedication and love for the nekomata, even though he was shocked at first that she was a cat, just proves how much he loves her. It’s sweet and a bit weird.
I really like how blunt Kabane is and how they are, in some ways, in sync with Kon. Speaking of Kon, I love her in this episode. She’s so straightforward and swiftly does the job, no questions ask, as long as she could get the reward. I want to see more of Kon.
Now for the 2nd half of the episode, it’s focused on Akira. It was already hinted in the first half, the limitations of Akira’s involvement with jobs. That’s why it was refreshing and nice to see him trying to face a challenge, even though it was clear as day how uncomfortable he was the whole time. Still, he overcomes his issues, even though it was a spur in the moment, he was able to save Kabane from the crazy heartless frogs. Akira and Kabane have a fun chemistry together as they are quite different from each other. Still, they complement each other well which results in me enjoying the 2nd half more.
Overall this episode was okay. I kinda wanted it to be better than the previous one, just to keep the build-up and hype of the series, but this one was decent enough to keep me interested.
I’ll look forward to the next episode.
Again, I am sorry for being inactive. I will make up to you by posting in the next couple of days, my thoughts about the missed episodes for S.A.W.
So look forward to it.
Anyway, that would be all for now.
This has been Will Sirius and thanks for reading!
