Spread the love

There is always that anime that you always tell yourself to finish/watch, but never got to. That’s my relationship with this anime, Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita.

I first discovered this anime last 2014 and got curious cuz it was the very first anime I had stumbled to have a long ass title. I was expecting it to wow me by the first episode, and bruh, it did…visually. But story-wise? Nope, definitely boring. Still, I didn’t drop this anime, I just put it on-hold, on top of my queue list, cuz I know that I would watch it once I feel like to.

Fast forward to now, sigh, it took a long time but here I am, was able to finished it and the series was…okay. Mediocre at best, but I enjoyed watching it.

Synopsis: Dreaming of becoming a hero and vanquishing the Demon King, Raul Chaser enters the Hero Training Program in pursuit of his ambition. However, when the Demon King is defeated and peace returns to the world, the Hero Training Program is suspended indefinitely, making it impossible for anyone to become a hero.
Two years later, Raul reluctantly works at a small electronics store called Magic Shop Leon. Though the former hero-in-training is plagued by the mundanity of working in retail, everything changes with the arrival of a new hire. Appearing at first to be just a boy with good looks, “he” turns out to be a female demon by the name of Fino Bloodstone. She is not just any old demon either—Raul’s new coworker is in fact the daughter of the late Demon King! Handed the responsibility of training this eccentric new employee, Raul soon finds his life becoming livelier than it ever was before. (MAL)

Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita or Yusibu in short, was quite an interesting anime. It started off as a fantasy-like anime then got cut off to slice of life with a mix of heavy ecchi. The premise was interesting, at best, but it was its animation that got me hooked like an addict.

The animation sequence of the first few minutes of the anime made me drop my mouth to the floor. It was visually stunning and appealing to the eyes.It was so good. The character designs were abit different from the usual that we see and I like them. Another this that is quite special with this anime would be the high quality FANSERVICE. Damn, when I first watched it I didn’t expect to see wiggling boobs in the first few minutes. It was shocking. (BTW, I watched the BD of this anime so it was… O_O )

I wish I have the same feelings for it for the story.

Like I said above, premise-wise, it was interesting but overall, it was boring. The mix of its genres is generally exciting, yes. Magic items, their electricity itself is magic, demons, heroes, etc. Everything is interesting. But what made me not like this series was the slice of life aspect of the story. It was presented in a boring way. Don’t get me wrong, I love slice of life. I also get the story and the fact that they need to do this everyday life mundane stuff cuz they are now living in a mundane era, I totally get that. I just think that this anime is better off not animated. I hate to say this, but it was too boring to watch. Knowing that this anime’s source material is a light novel, I would rather read this over watching. That said, I kinda understand now why the animation looks too gorgeous and surreal.

Overall, this anime a disappointment. The animation was superior, but the story was a total meh. Still, I still had a good time watching it.

Would I recommend this to anyone? Hhhhhmmmm…I think I would recommend this to the people who loves ecchi animes. The fanservice is quite high in this one. With the special appearance of tentacles and jelly, it is quite high.
