Saint☆Young Men OVA Anime Review
I always wanted to watch this since I saw some clips of the anime in some videos in youtube. Well, I am not clearly trying to ride along the holiday wind, but yeah, I watched an anime about Jesus & Buddha taking a vacation on Earth. XD

Synopsis: Jesus Christ and Gautama Buddha, the founders of Christianity and Buddhism, are living together as roommates in a Tokyo apartment while taking a vacation on Earth. The comedy often involves jokes about Christianity, Buddhism, and all things related, as well as the main characters’ attempts to hide their identities and understand modern society in Japan.
Okay. I tried my hardest to not spoil myself with the content of the series. All I know is that this anime is about the Almighty Jesus & the Great Buddha, enjoying a mundane life in Japan. Going blank slate was definitely a good idea, I was able to enjoy the series more than I expected.
What made me like this OVA series was the fact that the characters play their characters really well. You can really tell Jesus is Jesus & Buddha is Buddha, with the way they are acting. We are already exposed to what kind of persons these 2 supreme beings are, so seeing them tackling mundane stuff and accidentally exposing their ‘powers’ is quite hilarious to watch. I do admit there were some jokes that fell flat, it can be overlooked.
This is series is very simple and it delivers the story really well. This series is easy to binge-watch. Hell, its only 2 episode. I haven’t seen the movie yet but I will, soon. I really really liked the OVA series, so I’m kinda expecting that I would enjoy the movie more this time cuz its much longer. We will see.
Thanks for reading.
That is all.
