After Thoughts:

Uuuuggggghhhhh. That was the end?!?!?!?! What?!?!?! I want more!!!

This anime was one of my top favorites this summer season. I’m really sad to see this end. It sucks, the ending left me wanting more of the series. It’s not like I don’t like tha anime of anything. BRUH, I love this anime. It’s just that the last episode left me hanging. Though it was still really epic, from the action scenes to the touching moments, damn. Knowing that this was an anime original, the expectations were kinda higher than the anime adaptations. Still, this anime lived up those expectations, as a matter of fact, they surpassed them. Kudos to the writers & creators. They did an outstanding job on this project.

When this anime first aired, I was enticed by this anime cuz of the fact that this was another spy anime and it was set during the victorian era (STEAM PUNK FTW!!). Seeing only girl characters as the protagonists didn’t stop me from watching this anime. Bruh!

This anime was kinda episodic. Even so, every episode kept me on the edge of my chair, with my face glued to the screen of my laptop, watching every second of it. I always look forward to the action scenes in every episode, everything were well animated and very gripping. With an amazing OST playing as an accompaniment, it made the Princess Principal even better. The music were phenomenal too, especially the Opening. It’s my top favorite OP this season, and it might be my top fav for this year (we will see). Princess Principal was really really good.

The characters. Yas. They were the reason that this anime became so great. Each of them have their own stories and reasons why they were part of the Principal spy team. I really really liked how the creators made sure each of them were given enough spotlight, or enough character development. It made me understand them well to a point that I can’t question the decisions and actions the characters make. Oh my, Ange and the Princess. I love them both. Their backstory was tragic, especially the Princess’. I really feel sorry for her and at the same time, I admire her. Ange’s backstory after the wall incident wasn’t really discussed much but we, viewers, could already get an idea that she did everything just to cross over the wall. What happened to both of them was really devastating, I want to embrace the both of them.

Overall, I love this anime. Right now, I couldn’t find any negative points about it. All I can do is continue to rant about how good this anime was and I really really recommend this to everyone. The title and the anime poster above might be kinda misleading and all, but bruh, don’t judge this by it’s picture. This anime is unique and totally different from the usual we see now (modern animes). Just give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

That is all.

  1. The end is kind of the real downer of this series because there are so many plot points still hanging around that never really got addressed. Still, the rest of the series was really kind of fun and I loved watching it this season. If only there had been an announcement of a second season it would all be fine.
