Synopsis: As another school year begins drawing to a close, the third-year high school students move steadily toward the next milestone of their lives: graduation. Among them are Mio Natsume, a girl burdened with lingering feelings; Hazuki Morikawa, a member of the concert band but distant from the others; and Haruto Souma, an athlete obsessed with baseball. Meanwhile, second-year student Ena Komiya seeks to revive the photography club to its former glory, refusing to let the organization be disbanded. Though this group lacks a strong connection with one another, their lives suddenly cross paths with the arrival of a third-year transfer student.

While a transfer so close to graduation is unusual for most, it is business as usual for Eita Izumi. Due to his father’s work, he has never been able to stay in one place for very long. But as luck would have it, their most recent relocation has returned Eita to his hometown for his final semester of high school. For better or worse, it also sparks the rekindling of old relationships left behind in the past.

With graduation already causing its own share of anxieties, Eita’s sudden arrival brings these students’ carefree days to an abrupt end. Long-forgotten memories, deeply buried emotions, and inspiring new passions—everything is brought to light in their bittersweet final semester. (MAL)

My Thoughts:

I love it. I love this series. I feel so happy right now. I mean, people were doubting that this series would be good, but I sticked to to my decision on watching this until the very end. I really enjoyed every bit of this series. It was a rollercoaster ride. Every week, I get stuck in a feeling of helplessness and urge to know what was going to happen to the characters. Uuuggghhhhh, its so good. Its been awhile since I felt this feeling.

I am a fan of stories. From novels to fanfics, I love them. This series pretty much reminds me of my love for it. Every week, we get a reasonable cliffhanger which left me, and the viewers, hanging and ponder what was going to happen on the next episode. Every possible scenarios runs through my mind for the next couple of days until the next release of the next episode. The funny thing was, the scenarios I thought that might happen didn’t happen, and the story goes on a different direction which was still reasonable and realistic. It was a tiring but really fun experience.

Not only the story that made the series amazing, but also the characters. At the beginning, the characters seemed to be generic and boring, but through subtle expressions and small hints of action here and there, I kinda knew that these characters would be memorable. They didn’t disappoint me. My favorite character out of all would be Natsume. Why? Well, one thing would be her interactions with Eita, I really really liked it. It reminds me of high school. Lol. Another thing would be her character development and her personality as a whole. The other main characters were really great too.

Another thing that made my watching enjoyable was the too realistic background art. Damn, they look like photographs and to go to be true art. Though there were some issues behind the scenes, I think they still pull it off. I can’t wait for the BD release.

The sound and music were soothing in my ears. Both the OP and ED songs are on my music playlist in my phone, its that good. The music and sound in the background made this anime bloom. Can’t wait for the release of the Soundtrack. Ooohohohohohohoh.

Overall, this anime is really really good. If you are a fan of Slice-of-life, romance drama, then this anime is just for you. Compared to Tsuki ga kirei & Tsure zure children, which focuses more on the puppy love, innocence & relationship goals, this anime focused more on the feels of students now that they are nearing the end of their high school. Reality hits them like a train and they can’t stop it. So this anime gives off a whole new experience of school romance. Definitely a must watch.

That is all.

Thanks for reading.

This anime is the one time I DIDN’T want the “Childhood friend” to win. I felt like she had her chance already. Overall I loved it, though. Great ending and I really liked all the characters
