Ooohohohohohoho Tomorrow is my day off, so I’m going all out to day. Hahahahaha.
After watching the first season of Hitsugi no Chaika, I’m quite curious as to how they are going to finish this series. It didn’t take long before I could finish this new season, this series was alot shorter in episodes compared to the first one, so in a way it was easier and faster to watch, but at the same time hard not to binge-watch.
Anyway, here’s my thoughts:

Okay. That was….a lackluster ending.
Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle anime was overall, good and enjoyable. Do I like over the first one? Not much. This series starts off a month after the incidents of the first season, everyone adjusted to the new changes and new knowledges they gathered. It was interesting to watch cuz along with the characters, I also dunno the truth ( or I think I know the possible ending of this series…lel). I absorb the knowledge the characters also absorb, it made me feel like I was part of the series. But the ending though. Uuugggghhh…before we talk about it, let’s talk about the positive stuff instead.
I really really like how the story flowed from episode to episode, it was really solid. I also like that the characters weren’t really careless and actually tried to talk things out with each others opinions and info, at least that way they were able to pinpoint who really was the main villain of the story. Another thing I like was the utilization of all the characters. Everyone had a purpose in the story, they were relevant even though their part of the story was small. At least they were there to do something.
Now, for the negative points. I’m not impressed by the fight scenes. Some of the animation of those scenes were kinds sloppy for me and also lazy. Not much were going on as I expect it to be. Maybe its the budget, I dunno.
Another thing I don’t like would be the cliffhangers of each episode. I just find it a bit off-putting. Each episode ends on scenes I didn’t expect they would cut and make it a cliffhanger. In a way, it definitely made me want to press the next button, which is bad cuz I can’t follow my routine/schedule. Lel. Lastly, the thing that I most dislike about this series would be the lackluster and fast-paced ending. It actually made me go “wut?”. It was underwhelming, to say the least. The ending felt abit rushed and forced, as if the staff, specifically the writer of the story, crammed possible scenarios just to fit and finish the series in only 10 episodes. Definitely, I’m not a fan of that ending.
Overall, the series was a good 2nd season to the first Hitsugi no Chaika anime. I had a great time watching it, and it kinda answers all the questions you have surrounding the existence of Chaikas and the Gaz Empire. The ending was a bit a disappointment, but it depends on the viewer if it affects once overall outlook of the series. For me, it did affect me abit, but its still within the Good Anime percentage. Lel.
I recommend this to the people who what the first season and haven’t seen this one. If you want your questions to be answered, then watch. I also recommend this to everyone. Just don’t start watching this one right away, its still better to start from the first season. Hehehehehe.
