Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica: After Thoughts
I watched this series last year, and this review had been on stand by for a couple of months now. Its not that I don’t want to give a review about this anime, but I’m having a hard time finding the right words to describe what I think about this anime.
Now, I pretty much don’t care what I’m going to say about this anime. I’m just going to let it all out. LOL.
HAGURE YUUSHA NO AESTHETICA
Upon returning, Akatsuki and Miu are forced to join a special school called BABEL where they must train to one day master the powers they gained in Alayzard, in hopes that they will one day be able to serve mankind. Will Akatsuki and Miu be able to keep her true identity a secret or will their plan to live peaceful lives together go up in flames?
I had fun watching this series, but would I watch it again? Nope. Watching it once is enough. For a light novel ecchi romance harem anime series, this one sure is quite different in some ways. This series has so many cliches and generic points, but its unique points stand out for me. But before I share them, let me tackle first the generic stuff of the anime, and the stuff I don’t like about it.
This anime is quite dragging. Just like the other light novel anime, the story is very much incomplete. Hence, there’s so many unnecessary scenes just to stretch out the story. I’m definitely okay with the fan service, just the delivery of the story what makes me irritated. I really want to point out the ‘last battle scene’ of the series. It was stretched out for too long that it was already very boring and I want it to end badly. The writer should have adjust the story really well, not drag some scenes just to reach the right amount of episodes.
The main character is toooooo OP. Yeah, he is tooooo OP. I could even consider him above of Kirito when it comes to being OP. HE IS THAT OVERPOWERED. There’s not much background as to why he is ‘awesome’, it was like everyone just acknowledge immediately how ‘awesome’ he is.
This series is a harem. Yeah, cuz the MC is too perfect, of course girls are fawning over him. I think I kinda consider this not that bad point, cuz currently there is only 2-3 people who is madly in love with the MC (as what I remember…). But this a light novel, so…definitely….more girls will come in the future…I think.
The art and animation is so…..generic. The character designs look too okay and typical for an anime in this genre. Nothing new on the table, other than more boobs and fan service shots. The animation looks so low quality compared to the other animes released on that year. Its a shame.
I still want to share more of the negative points but their not that necessary. Now, let’s move on to the good points.
I like how confident the main character is. He knows he is awesome in so many ways, he is very confident in every decision and actions he makes. I also like his interactions with the main girl. I like how they look like siblings in the first few episodes then gradually develop to something more. Even though their relationship is kinda cliche, its the interactions that’s what made them cute and unique.
I like the powers of the characters. Each and one of them have distinct powers which I find interesting and intriguing. It definitely made me want to check out the light novel for more information about it.
I really really like the story. It had potential. I’ma bit disappointed of how the story flowed and ended. There is so many possible arcs of the story that could make this series really good. I’m definitely going to check out the LN to check out if they tackle those ideas of mine.
Overall, this series is….okay. Its doesn’t really deserve a recommendation. Unless, you don’t have anything to watch and you want to see an ecchi romance anime so this anime is for you. This is not that bad, but its also not that good. Its definitely clear too that this series will never get a new season, so gonna dive in to the LN world.
Anyway, that is all.
Thanks for reading.
