Moe! Moe! MOE!! <3 <3 <3

A seasonal anime watch is not complete if there is no Moe anime. Blend S was everything I am looking for as of the moment. Watching this anime gave me happiness and positive energy to face off another dose of reality. From the first episode to the last, it never failed to give me feels of enjoyment and fluffiness. This anime definitely served its purpose well.

Synopsis: High school girl Maika Sakuranomiya has trouble finding a part-time job because of how scary she looks when smiling. However, she is scouted one day by an Italian man who is also the manager of Stile, a café where its waitresses are given unique traits such as tsundere and younger sister. Maika is given a sadist trait because of her looks and has to adopt a dominant and cruel persona when servicing customers, particularly masochist ones. (MAL)

My Thoughts:

The story is quite simple, and the pacing was definitely alright. There were some jokes that didn’t bite as much as the other jokes, but it was still bearable and enjoyable to watch. I could pretty much say that the character interactions made this series memorable and really enjoyable to watch. They interactions were really likable and lovable. Each character was unique, but they are also kinda familiar. They played the anime tropes and archetypes really well. Even Hideri, the ‘trap’ character, was even likable in his own way. The art & animation was so moe. It looks really generic, but you can still see some glimpse of A-1 Pictures-ish character design, so all is good.

This anime pretty much reminded me why I love the Working! anime in the first place. Its as if this anime was a mash-up of Working! and Ouran High School Host Club. 2 of the best animes in their own genre. Well, compared to the 2, Blend S was weaker. Still, its still a worthwhile to watch.

Thanks for reading.
