5 Old Animes I planned on watching. GOAL!

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I mentioned this alot of times before, I watch quite alot of animes. Yet, there are still quite a number of animes I haven’t seen yet.

In this list, I’m planning on sharing to you 5 old animes I’m planning on watching and finishing next year. Its a goal of mine to watch them all, if possible.

Without further a do, here is the list:

Revolutionary Girl Utena

Yes. This one is a must for me. Its one of those animes that I really wanted to watch but scared to watch too. Many people praised/criticized this series for deconstructing the mahou shoujo genre and anime as a whole. I also heard from people that this anime is different and hard to understand, especially the movie. So I feel kinda scared touching this gem.

But now, I decided to conquer my fear and watch this along with the movie. Dunno exactly when I am going to watch it, but I’ll make sure to reach my goal.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes

Oooohhohooh another really old gem.

If I remember it right, I already mentioned this anime before in a challenge last month. I think this was included in the challenge: Anime you want to see but haven’t yet.

I always wanted to watch this ever since I heard that this anime even existed. I had heard quite a lot of good things about this anime. But the main reason why I haven’t watched this is….I have no copy and its so damn long. I don’t want to stream it illegally. I find that a waste of time. Though recently, I was able to get a complete copy of the said anime earlier this month. Ooohohohoho. Yas! Its now resting alongside my other soon to watch BD/DVD animes. I am totally going to binge-watch it next year.

Slayers series

Alongside the Legend of Galactic Heroes, Slayers was also mentioned in the previous challenge: Anime you want to see but haven’t yet.

My sentiments about this anime is quite the same as LoGH, but the problem is my copy for this anime is still incomplete. I don’t want to start watching this anime without even completing my copy yet. I do hope by next year, I would be able to complete my copy and binge-watch this series fully.

Saber Marionette J series

I first saw this anime in Animax when I was still in middle school. I remember enjoying watching this series. Its one of the first anime that I actually liked as dub over sub. Now that I was able to obtain a complete copy of the series, I am planning on watching this next year.

Magic Knight Rayearth series

Oooohhohohoohoh. Me and my love for old animes. This anime is very precious to me. It was one of the first animes I had seen my whole life. And its actually the first anime that I had seen that features girls as protagonists.

I had always wanted to watch this since I got a complete copy of it. But I was kinda scared, that I might not relived the same emotions, my love for the anime. I’m scared that I might disappoint myself, like how Sakura Wars & Silent mobius disappointed me. Anyway, I’m still going to try, and overcome this fear.

Ooohohoohoh. What a list.

With this list, I am quite sure my next year will be quite a roller coaster ride.

Anyway, that is all.

Thanks for reading.

I’ve seen the Revolutionary Girl one advertised on my Facebook forever. I’ve been curious to watch it and I’ll be interested to see your review.
